Book an Adventure!

To participate:

  • Keep track on this Summer Reading Calendar all the days in which you read for 20 minutes or more (or someone else reads to you).
  • Optional: Keep a list of all the books you read.
  • Return the calendar to the SCDS Library in September - if you have 40 days of reading, you earn a prize!

The American Library Association has wonderful book selections in their Outstanding Books for the College Bound lists. These are particularly recommended for outgoing 8th grade students, but others – older and younger – will find a wide range of quality young adult and adult books to peruse.
